A Memorandum signed between leading analytical centers of the OTS member countries and observers

Tashkent hosts the 8th Meeting of the Official Foreign Policy Research Centers of the Member and Observer States of the Organization of Turkic States, dedicated to the development of trade, economic cooperation, transport and logistics connectivity in the OTS space.

The event is being attended by the heads and experts of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for Analysis of International Relations of Azerbaijan, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan, the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kyrgyzstan, the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

ISRS Director Eldor Aripov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov, OTS Deputy Secretary General Gismat Gozalov addressed the event.

As part of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between analytical centers of the OTS countries. 

The document is aimed at creating conditions for maintaining regular contact and developing comprehensive cooperation between the participants to facilitate the further process of integration within the Organization.

Commenting on the signing of the Memorandum, Akramjon Nematov, ISRS's First Deputy Director, emphasized that this would give an additional impetus to the overall process of expert support for the activities of the Organization of Turkic States, the development of cooperation between research and analytical centers of the OTS member countries and observers.

The expert meeting, organized for the first time in Uzbekistan by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, brought together over 60 prominent representatives of the leading think tanks of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Hungary, as well as the OTS Secretariat.

Heads of transport and logistics companies, representatives of associations of international freight forwarders, road carriers, logistics, as well as profile scientists and specialists from universities of Uzbekistan, including the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Tashkent State Transport University are also invited to attend the forum.
