In accordance with the agenda of the event, issues of further enhancing multilateral partnership within the Organization, primarily the development of trade relations, increasing the transit potential of the region, promoting the green economy and introducing innovations, will be considered. It is envisaged to adopt the final document of the summit.
Bilateral meetings are also planned within the framework of the visit to Turkmenistan.
The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a regional multilateral structure established in 1985 to promote the development of close trade and economic ties between the region’s countries.
Ten countries are members of the Organization: Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Uzbekistan joined the ECO in 1992.
