On November 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the Elbasy on the upcoming Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sincerely wishing good health, prosperity and new success, as well as further progress and prosperity to the fraternal people of Kazakhstan.

The historical role and huge personal contribution of Nursultan Nazarbayev to the formation and development of modern Kazakhstan, increasing the country's authority in the international arena was emphasized.

The current high-level friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership were noted with satisfaction.

Since the beginning of the year, the trade turnover has increased by 40 percent, and the scale of industrial cooperation between leading companies and enterprises of the two countries is expanding. Today, Turkestan hosts events of the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission and Forum of Regions with the participation of the Heads of Government of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Active implementation of important cultural-humanitarian exchange programs continues.

Views on the current issues of bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were exchanged. The schedule of the upcoming summit meetings was considered.
