The President of Uzbekistan receives the LUKOIL chief

On March 16, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of the Russian company LUKOIL, Vagit Alekperov.

Vagit Alekperov reported in detail to the President of Uzbekistan on the implementation of priority investment and socially significant projects in the country with the participation of Russia’s leading oil and gas company.

It should be noted that LUKOIL is one of the largest investors in Uzbekistan’s economy. The volume of investments reaches $10 billion.

Kandym Gas Processing Complex is successfully operating with a processing capacity of more than 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. Development of deposits Khauzak and Shady, as well as in the South-West Gissar continues. Important humanitarian programs are being implemented.

The main attention at the meeting was paid to the issues of overcoming the consequences of the pandemic and the implementation of joint projects.

An agreement was reached on the establishment of an interdepartmental working group and the adoption of a roadmap to improve the efficiency of projects and enhance strategic cooperation with LUKOIL.
