President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for Surkhandarya region to get acquainted with the regional economic development and living conditions of the population.

The Leader of the country will inspect projects in energy, trade and agriculture, and examine the ongoing construction and landscaping activities.

The cultivation of pomegranates and sericulture are becoming the drivers of the region’s economy. Special attention will be paid to the development of these sectors.
