“Recently adopted by the UN General Assembly, the Special Resolution on strengthening connectivity between Central and South Asia also confirmed the critical importance of maintaining peace in Afghanistan for ensuring international security”, the President of Uzbekistan noted in his address to the participants of the International Conference “Afghanistan: Security and Economic Development”.

In this regard, the international community must show solidarity with the Afghan people. “We should focus our efforts on creating real prerequisites for making Afghanistan a peaceful, stable and prosperous country, free from terrorism, wars and drugs”, the Head of the state emphasized.
