On November 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Kashkadarya region.
The main goal of the trip is to develop solutions to problems that have accumulated over many years, give impetus to socio-economic development of the region and identify new tasks in this direction.
The President became acquainted with yarn and fabrics production from synthetic fibers in Oqsaroy Vortex LLC in Shakhrisabz.
Shakhrisabz Textile and Oqsaroy Textile, both part of Oqsaroy Group, operate here. It was planned to implement 3 projects in stages worth $54 million, create 1,610 jobs and organize the export of products worth $22 million per year.
At the first stage, in 2014, the production of 9 thousand tons of yarn and 4 thousand tons of knitted fabric per year was established after the modernization of Oqsaroy Textile.
In 2019, the company exported products worth $6 million, and this year this figure has already reached $8 million.
At the second stage, Oqsaroy Vortex enterprise for production of yarn and knitwear made of synthetic fibers was created in October 2020. The project cost is $15 million, and the production capacity is 3 thousand tons of yarn, 5.5 thousand tons of synthetic yarns and 3.5 thousand tons of knitwear. The export volume is estimated at $7 million per year.
At the third stage, it is planned to build another textile factory and expand the production of yarn and knitwear. The project, which will be launched next year, will employ 700 people.
The President became familiar with the technological process at the enterprise, examined samples of yarn and finished fabric.
The main difference from traditional spinning mills is that it is equipped with Vortex spinning technology from Japan’s Murata company. The advantage of this technology is that while spinning fibers are passed through an air vortex. As a result, the wooliness of yarn decreases and its quality increases.
The Head of the state instructed to organize textile mills of Oqsaroy Vortex type in nine districts of Kashkadarya that produce cotton, while using lightweight structures to reduce the cost of construction and ensure the profitability of the project.
Responsible persons are tasked with developing the textile industry in the region, creating a chain “from raw materials to finished products”, and studying the activities of clusters.
