In recent years, relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have experienced rapid growth, marked by deepening cooperation across various sectors, particularly in sustainable development and the green economy.

Strengthening friendly relations and developing a multifaceted partnership with Malaysia is one of the important priorities of Uzbekistan's foreign policy in Asian direction.

On 4-5 February 2025, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid an official visit to Malaysia at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
