ISRS Deputy Director S.Valiev is participating in the Budapest Water Summit (October 15-18, this year). The event is organized by the Government of Hungary. Nearly two thousand people from more than hundred countries as well as senior representatives of the UN, EU, OECD, World Bank, IMF, EBRD, WEF, German Society for International Cooperation are attending the forum.
The aim of the Conference is to bring together the world's political decision makers, water professionals to address the global water crises and to tackle problems related to water at the highest level.
The Budapest Water Summit 2019 is opened by the speech of János Áder, President of Hungary and Patron of the event. Amongst others, Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, Liquin Jin, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development and Chair of UN-Water, presented their thoughts. Furthermore a video-message by Mr António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations greeted the audience of the Summit.
It is planned a session on Central Asia within the framework of the summit.
