The Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a Memorandum of understanding with the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in accordance with the agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev to the United Arab Emirates in March 2019.
The main goal of signing of the Memorandum is to establish long-term cooperation between the leading analytical structures of the two countries in order to improve mutual understanding and expand interstate relations.
In terms of cooperation, the parties agreed to exchange information and publications, organize joint events in areas of common interest.
The signing of the agreement will create a solid basis for strengthening Uzbek-Emirati relations, which are entering to a new stage of interaction.
Need to note that the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research is a state research institution established in 1994 according to the decree of the President of the United Arab Emirates. The headquarters of the Centre is located in Abu-Dhabi. It has partnership with 97 think tanks and research institutions around the world.
The center conducts strategic research on topical aspects of political, economic, social, information and military development, the environment and health. The institution regularly organizes scientific conferences, symposiums, lectures and meetings with well-known specialists, high-ranking military and state figures.
