Participants of the II International Forum "Dialogue of Declarations" visited Samarkand

The II International Forum "Dialogue of Declarations" held in Tashkent emphasized that the development of constructive dialogue between different religions and cultures is the most important basis for maintaining peace, harmony and stability in society.

The forum participants traveled to the city of Samarkand, where representatives of different nationalities and ethnic groups have long lived in peace and harmony.

The guests were welcomed by officials of the regional administration at the Samarkand railway station.

After that, the forum participants got acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of our ancestors - the Amir Temur Mausoleum, Registan Square, the Shahi Zinda complex, and the grandiose creative work being carried out at the burial place of the great hadith scholar Imam Bukhari.

- It is a great happiness to be on the unique and priceless land of Uzbekistan, - says forum participant, former chairman of the Islamic Ideology Council of Pakistan Qibla Ayaz. – Because this land has raised the pillars of world science and scholars who have made a great contribution to the development of Islam. Their holy graves are also in this soil. Within the framework of the forum held in Tashkent, we exchanged views with world scientists and scholars on maintaining peace and tranquility, establishing the principles of interfaith harmony and tolerance. In particular, in cooperation with prominent scientists and representatives of religious confessions from the USA, Malaysia, Turkiye, Pakistan and other countries, we discussed the important aspects of ensuring peace and tranquility in the world, tolerance and strengthening friendly relations between nations and peoples, and discussed the procedures that should be followed in the future.

The forum participants unanimously recognized that the fact that different ethnic groups, religions, and confessions live together as one family in Uzbekistan without any obstacles is a sign that reforms in this direction are on the right track, and highly appreciated the Uzbek model. Therefore, it would be appropriate for other countries to study and adopt this model. Of course, in the process, it is necessary to recognize the fair policy of the Uzbek government and the reforms it is implementing to ensure the rule of law.

For information: Forum is organized by ISRS jointly with the American NGO "Love Your Neighbor Community" (LYNC) with the support of the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the administration of the Samarkand region.
