On December 5 it was organized a round table on the role of Uzbekistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at Westminster International University in Tashkent.
During the round table Vladimir Norov, director of the Institute of Strategic and regional studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan V.I. Norov made a speech as a host lecturer. In the framework of the lecture, the participants exchanged views on the history of the creation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the role of Uzbekistan in the creation of this international institution and the priority goals of the Organization.
V.Norov also underlined the significance of the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev within the framework of the SCO, as well as the creation of a new political atmosphere in Central Asia, as a result of an open and pragmatic foreign policy conducted by the Head of State. The event was held in the format of discussion, in which students got answers to the questions, which they are interested in.
