ISRS held a meeting with Russian experts

On April 1 of this year, at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS), a meeting was held with the delegation of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICCA RAS), headed by director Kirill Babaev.

During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Russian interaction. The issues of establishing scientific cooperation between ISRS and ICCA RAS were considered.

Kirill Babaev spoke in favor of expanding mutual contacts at the level of research and analytical institutions. Interest was expressed in holding regular meetings and joint events to elaborate proposals for further development of cooperation in such areas as climate change, green energy, labor migration, etc.

For information: ICCA RAS was established in 1966 and is engaged in the comprehensive study of the problems of China, Japan, South Korea, DPRK, the experience of socio-economic development, their history and culture, as well as the development of relations with the Russian Federation.

The Center for Central Asian Studies (CAS) has been operating at the Institute since 2023. The main objectives are to analyze and study contemporary politics, economics, international and interfaith relations, socio-demographic processes in Central Asian states. The Head of the Center is Dmitry Novikov.
