Tashkent to host international scientific and practical conference “New Central Asia: Challenges and Opportunities in the Era of Global Transformation”

On October 26, the capital city will host an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: “New Central Asia: Challenges and Opportunities in the Era of Global Transformation”.

The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the International Institute for Central Asia, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

The conference will be attended by heads and prominent experts from leading analytical centers of Central Asia, the CIS, the EU, China, India, Turkiye, Pakistan, Malaysia and other countries. In total, more than 40 foreign delegates from 25 countries.

The agenda includes a discussion of the status and prospects for the development of regional cooperation, consideration of foreign experience in this area, an exchange of views on the role and place of Central Asia in the modern system of global economic relations, as well as the importance of the cultural and civilizational heritage of the region in strengthening dialogue and trust.
