
On 11 February of this year, an online meeting was held between Eldor Aripov, Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) and Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
During the talks, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for further collaboration between the ISRS and CICA. Particular attention was paid to promoting joint initiatives aimed at strengthening regional connectivity.

In this context, Kairat Sarybay highly commended the active and consistent policy of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which is based on trust, good-neighbourliness, and practical cooperation in the region. “Tashkent’s policy contributes to strengthening stability and sustainability in Central Asia,” the CICA Secretary General stated.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the partnership between ISRS and CICA and expressed confidence that the continuation of constructive dialogue would contribute to ensuring stability and the long-term development of the region.
