After the meeting with Bektemir district representatives, the Head of the state inspected special vehicles that are planned to be produced in Uzbekistan.

During the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Germany in January 2019, a Cooperation Agreement between Uzavtosanoat and Volkswagen was signed. The agreement provides for organization of production of Volkswagen Caddy minivans in 3 modifications at Jizzakh Automobile Plant. This seven-seat vehicle is very suitable for re-equipment for various needs. Isuzu platform will also be used for this purpose.

Uzbekistan has established production of cars and trucks. Presented models are designed to fill an unoccupied segment of special-purpose vehicles. Such machines are also in high demand in neighboring countries.

In this regard, prototypes of special vehicles on chassis developed by Volkswagen, Škoda and Isuzu have been prepared.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the importance of developing a new segment to replace imports and increase exports, as well as gave necessary instructions to responsible persons.

Начало сборки представленных автомобилей намечен на IV квартал текущего года на Джизакском автозаводе. В 2022 году планируется освоить полный цикл производства.
