The Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the director of the Silk Road Economic Development Research Center Mr. Zhao Jie. During the talks, sides discussed the changes in the socio-political and socio-economic spheres of the country, as well as the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation.

According to the Chinese expert, the results of the positive transformations have already begun to appear. In this regard, Zhao Jie praised the ongoing policy of the country's leadership. Commenting on the topic of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation, the parties stressed the intensification of partnership contacts at the regional level. The visits of delegations from 8 regions of Uzbekistan to provinces of China clearly demonstrate this trend.

At the same time, Zhao Jie stated that new opportunities for businesses in Uzbekistan attract interest form Hong Kong’s business community. Nowadays, prospective directions for further investment and joint ventures are being explored.
