ISRS hosted a meeting with the delegation from the Danube Institute

On June 13, 2025, the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) hosted a meeting between First Deputy Director Akramjon Nematov and a delegation from the Danube Institute of Hungary, headed by Executive Director István Kiss. The participants included Head of Operations Gergely Dobozi, Editor-in-Chief of the online version of the Hungarian Conservative Zsófia Rácz, and Research Fellow Ibrahim Mamedov.

During the detailed conversation, the parties discussed issues of developing cooperation between analytical centers of Uzbekistan and Hungary. Particular attention was paid to strengthening expert diplomacy and implementing joint research projects.

Hungarian partners invited their Uzbek colleagues to take part in the international conference Geopolitics Summit, which will be held in September 2025. The forum will include a separate session devoted to Central Asian issues.

In addition, an agreement was reached on the development of information exchange. Materials from Uzbek experts will be published on the pages of the Hungarian Conservative, which is published monthly under the auspices of the Danube Institute.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen their partnership and agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation, which will lay the institutional foundations for long-term interaction between ISRS and the Danube Institute.

The Danube Institute is a leading Hungarian think tank, founded in 2013 with the support of the Hungarian government and the Századvég Foundation (a leading Hungarian research institute). It specializes in research on traditional values, Christian civilization and national sovereignty, serving as a platform for expert discussions.
