ISRS experts held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States to Uzbekistan D.Rosenblum. The sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.
During the conversation, the guest highly appreciated the pragmatic and constructive foreign policy of Uzbekistan, aimed at strengthening good and friendly relations with neighboring countries. In his opinion, positive changes following the activation of regional interaction draw attention of the international community.
At the same time, D.Rosenblum highlighted the invaluable contribution of Uzbekistan to the implementation of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. In particular, he expressed confidence that the construction of power lines and railways will bring undoubted benefits to all parties involved in the socio-economic reconstruction of Afghanistan.
It was also noted that Uzbekistan and the United States achieved great success in establishing broad and multifaceted relationships built on the basis of mutual interests and respect. The both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation in political, trade, economic, financial, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of enhancing contacts between the think tanks of two countries. The American diplomat expressed readiness to support and provide further assistance to strengthen ties between the research institutes of Uzbekistan and the United States.
