The Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Mr. Jason Campbell, Policy Researcher of the RAND Corporation, USA.
During the conversation, along with a discussion of ongoing socio-political and socio-economic reforms in the republic, two sides also discussed the issues of regional agenda, situation in Afghanistan and South Asia.
Jason Campbell highlighted the importance of efforts of the leadership of Uzbekistan to rebuild Afghanistan and promote intra-Afghan settlement, as well as the role of Uzbekistan in implementing proactive and constructive regional policy in Central Asia.
At the end of the conversation, the American expert noted his interest in expanding cooperation with the expert-analytical centers of Uzbekistan.
