The Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Ms. Brianne Todd, Assistant Professor of the Near East and South Asia Center for Strategic Studies at the National Defense University of the USA.
During the meeting, two sides discussed issues of regional cooperation in Central Asia, prospects for resolving the situation in Afghanistan, as well as the development of Uzbek-American relations.
The guest highly appreciated the efforts of the Central Asian countries, aimed at developing of mutually beneficial cooperation and good neighborly relations in our region. Separately, the positive role of Uzbekistan in attracting international attention to the issues of assistance in restoring the economy and infrastructure of Afghanistan was noted.
At the end of the conversation, the expert noted the interest of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Middle East and South Asia in expanding cooperation with research centers of Uzbekistan.
