On October 26, 2024, on the sidelines of the international scientific and practical conference “New Central Asia: Challenges and Opportunities in the Era of Global Transformation”, a meeting was held between the ISRS Director Eldor Aripov and the Executive Director and the board member of the Center for Caspian Policy, Efgan Nifti.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues of regional cooperation and security in Central Asia, the development of transport and energy corridors, including between the regions of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
The meeting participants agreed to continue bilateral cooperation and expressed mutual interest in further expanding and strengthening interaction between the ISRS and the Caspian Policy Center.
Efgan Nifti is the Executive Director and board member of the Caspian Policy Center. He previously worked as a research assistant at Georgetown University and as a lecturer at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy. He holds degrees in international relations and political science from Georgetown University and George Washington University.
