
On January 21-22, a national seminar dedicated to combating the use of new technologies for terrorist purposes was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The event, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was attended by international experts, representatives of interested agencies and organizations.
At the national seminar, an exchange of views took place on preventing the threat of terrorism, increasing the awareness of law enforcement agencies about new technologies used for terrorist purposes, developing international cooperation and exchange of experience in this area, developing national approaches, and improving the legal framework of the sphere.
Following the event, where relevant proposals and recommendations were expressed by foreign and local specialists, the participants were awarded certificates.
