On January 18 this year, the Institute of Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Dr. Filippo Costa Buranelli, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews (UK).
During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects of regional processes in Central Asia, new forms and principles of relations between the countries of the region, as well as Uzbekistan's priorities in Central Asia.
The British expert was informed of Uzbekistan's position on ensuring sustainable development and stability in the region.
Filippo Costa Buranelli highly appreciated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's efforts to build a pragmatic and constructive regional policy, including the expansion of cooperative ties in Central Asia.
At the end of the conversation, the parties expressed mutual interest in continuing the expert dialog on strengthening Central Asian cooperation.
