ISRS hosted a meeting with representatives of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute

On 25 April this year, the Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) Eldor Aripov met with representatives of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute - Director of Programs Laura Linderman and expert Nino Vadachkoria.

The issues of developing regional cooperation in Central Asia were discussed. It was noted that Central Asia has today become a space of trust, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial partnership. The region demonstrates growing consolidation and readiness to take responsibility for ensuring security and sustainable development.

In this context, it was emphasized that the successful experience of Central Asia in building regional cooperation can serve as an exemplary model of multilateral interaction for other countries.

Particular attention was also paid to the prospects for cooperation between scientific, academic and analytical structures of Uzbekistan and the United States. The parties expressed confidence that the development of expert dialogue will contribute to the search for new growth points for Uzbek-American partnership in key areas.

The Central Asia-Caucasus Institute is an American think tank headquartered in Washington. It was founded in 1997. It analyzes processes in Central Asia and the Caucasus. It takes an active part in the development of US conceptual documents regarding the Central Asian region. The Institute is headed by the authoritative professor Frederick Starr.
