ISRS hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkiye

On April 24 of this year, a meeting was held between the Director of the ISRS Eldor Aripov and the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye to Uzbekistan Ufuk Ulutas.

Ufuk Ulutas is a renowned expert in international relations. Over the years of his professional career, he has published a number of fundamental studies on the history and politics of the Middle East, as well as on Turkiye's foreign policy in the region. Previously, he held senior positions at the SETA Foundation (2013-2018), the Center for Strategic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2023), and was also the Ambassador of Turkiye to the Vatican.

Director of ISRS Eldor Aripov congratulated Ufuk Ulutas on his appointment to the high post and expressed confidence that his rich professional experience will contribute to the further strengthening of Uzbek-Turkish relations.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the issues of enhancing partnership between the leading analytical centers of the two countries.

The distinguished guest emphasized that deepening interaction between expert and analytical institutions of Turkiye and Uzbekistan will open up new opportunities for expanding cooperation in priority areas.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing expert dialogue and expressed their readiness to facilitate the organization of regular consultations between analytical centers of the two countries.
