Tashkent to host Fourth Forum of Analytical Centers “Central Asia - China”

On June 4, the Fourth Forum of Analytical Centers “Central Asia – China” will be held in Tashkent on “Mutually beneficial cooperation on the path to shared prosperity and sustainable development”.

The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The forum is held as part of the practical implementation of the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced in May 2023 at the summit of the Heads of State of China and Central Asian countries in Xi’an.

More than 40 heads and experts from about 20 leading research and analytical centers and heads of diplomatic missions of PRC and CA countries in Uzbekistan will attend the event.

The forum’s agenda includes a discussion of the current state of cooperation between China and Central Asia and prospects for deepening multilateral cooperation in industrial cooperation, digitalization, green economy, transport, logistics, and innovation.

Based on the forum’s results, the parties will identify new points of contact between the interests of the PRC and the Central Asian countries, identify current areas of cooperation, and develop specific proposals to strengthen multilateral interaction significantly.
