ISRS hosted a meeting with the head of UNRCCA

On 7 April this year, ISRS Director Eldor Aripov met with Kaha Imnadze, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between ISRS and UNRCCA. Particular attention was paid to the preparation of joint events within the framework of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in 2025.

Taking the opportunity, Kaha Imnadze noted the impressive dynamics of Uzbekistan's foreign policy activity, highlighting a number of significant events that took place in the country. According to him, “intense negotiations at the Central Asia-EU Summit and substantive discussions at the Climate Forum in Samarkand, as well as the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Tashkent confirmed the status of Uzbekistan as an important center of global dialogue.”

At the end of the negotiations, the parties expressed interest in further developing and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNRCCA.
