ISRS Director participated in a discussion on Prospects for Central Asia–U.S. Engagement under the “C5+1” Format

On 17 December 2025, the Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) Eldor Aripov took part in a meeting dedicated to the prospects for cooperation between Central Asia and the United States within the framework of the “C5+1” format.

The event, organized by the Atlantic Council, brought together prominent representatives of the expert community from Central Asian countries and the United States.

Participants emphasized the importance and timeliness of this expert dialogue. Currently, relations between the United States and the Central Asian states have not only gained a new impetus following the historic summit in Washington, but have also entered a new stage of development.

The meeting participants discussed strengthening cooperation between analytical institutions in Central Asian countries and the United States. Particular attention was paid to the formation and development of sustainable expert platforms designed to deepen trust and expand partnerships.

Following the discussion, the parties confirmed their commitment to continue collaborating to exchange opinions and develop agreed-upon recommendations to facilitate the practical implementation of initiatives within the C5+1 format.
