March 28 this year Director of ISRS Eldor Aripov met with  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria to Uzbekistan Boumediene Gennad.

During the conversation, the state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Algerian relations were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the issues of intensifying cooperation between specialized analytical centers of Uzbekistan and Algeria.

In this context, the guest highly appreciated the online conference held the day before between the leading "think tanks" of Uzbekistan and Algeria. According to him, “the event was the first important step towards expanding relations between the experts of the two countries. Such meetings help to develop ideas and proposals at the expert level for further promotion of bilateral cooperation.”

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in establishing regular meetings in all areas of Uzbek-Algerian partnerships of mutual interest.
