On 19 March this year, ISRS Director Eldor Aripov held an online meeting with EU Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais.

The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Central Asian countries and the EU. Particular attention was paid to climate change issues. In this context, the importance of the upcoming international conference in Samarkand "Central Asia in the Face of Global Climate Threats: Solidarity for Common Prosperity" was emphasized. As the EU representative noted, the European Union intends to continue to provide comprehensive assistance to Central Asian countries in addressing pressing issues of sustainable development in the region.
